office in Portland, OR, Harris operates from ten strategic locations using
state-of-the-art hauling equipment.
Its customers are major oil companies, hypermarkets and wholesale/retail distributors
of petroleum products. These multi-regional companies require a multi-regional carrier
that can quickly and dependably service their requirements.
The company utilizes a centralized dispatch system and leading information technology
to provide one-stop shopping for all deliveries. It also offers its customers such value
added services as: inventory management, keep-full service, on time and accurate product
delivery, experienced and professional drivers and accurate and timely billing data.
Harris Transportation Company, LLC, was formed in 1998 as a joint venture between two
long-established and respected family-run bulk trucking companies: Harris Transport of
Portland, OR, founded in 1928, and Trimac Transportation, founded in 1948. The merger
created a well-financed company with the size and experience to meet a wide range of
customer needs over an expanded geographical area.
